Can't sync tracker since updating fit bit software

I updated my Samsung galaxy s5 software to the latest updated (marshmallow something) and my fit bit was working fine
No problem. However when I updated the fit it software yesterday my phone will not sync with my tracker saying that my tracker cannot be found.
I've gone through all the rouble shooting steps from the site. E.g. turning location on, ensuring power saving mode isn't on ect. But nothing seems to be working 😞
I haven't reset tracker because I'm not sure whether this will mean I will loose all my data from the last 3 days?
Please someone help.

It's nice to have you here my friend @arianwen Smiley Very HappyIf you are running OS 6.0 (Marshmallow), please note that Google has changed the permissions required for Bluetooth syncing. You must turn on location services to sync your tracker (Settings > Location). For more information about the latest Google permission requirements, see Google's Android 6.0 Changes document.

 

Once you've checked that you can try following the steps listed in the I can't sync my tracker article.
