Hello @MNTerry and welcome aboard to our community. Your tracker may need some time to have an average of your resting heart rate, as long you continue to using it. One of the community members have discussed this matter in the following post. You may find helpful information regard this.
Note that customer support have more tools to know if the version of your app is outdated, but as far as I know the last version is 2.21.4 for Android. You can verify this by going to your Fitbit app menu and in the section of Help you should see the version you are using; although this wont have a great impact on your Resting Heart Rate information.
