Can't turn on location services in the Fitbit app

So I have location services ON on my device but I don't have the option to have them "always on" in the fitbit app and the toggle switch in the app is greyed out.  The only support i have gotten is "turn on location services"  yeah i have as much as I can.  I can no longer get weather or track my routes so what's the point? Oh and apparently email support is no longer a thing. After this issue and the horrid service i had over the weekend I may just call it quits and get a different tracker.
