Can't update Calorie Burn Goal

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Every time I try to change my Calorie Burn Goal on the Android app, I get "Fitbit.com is down for maintenance" . I've been trying for 4 days already. If I go to my dashboard on the web, I can change it there but it never syncs to my phone/app even if I sync. After a day, the web reverts back to what's on the phone app.  I tried logging out and reinstalling the Android app with no good results.

Check out the short video of the issue here: https://youtu.be/c_RH27Qk7R4

I'm having the same issue. Tech support keeps giving me things to try but nothing has worked.

I've uninstalled/reinstalled.

Deleted my device, readded me device

Tried the website

Tried the app...

Thus far nothing has worked.  If you figure it out let me know, cause even when I've had 26k days i have yet to hit 3,156 calories burned. 😐

I got a new phone and it works. I was on a Galaxy S5 (with all the updates!) and went to a Galaxy S8 and now it works. Not the answer anyone wants to hear and really not acceptable, it should work with all phones but...

Issue here. I had the surge which worked in the past but towards the end did not update. I've upgraded to the ionic and same issue!

Any help would be good, I'm not planning g on changing my phone. Shouldn't need to, updating on the online dashboard should work!

@KhmckayYou are getting that error because you, like me, are a Premium user.. You can only alter the Calories via the Activity Calorie tile on a Web Dashboard..

Activity Calories + BMR = Calories Goal..

Amazingly fast, alter it in the Web and on my phone the calorie goal is updated before I can open the Activity Goals settings...

Our real issues may start soon because Fitbit aren't renewing Premium Subscriptions...

It is a known bug, there are topics on this more than 2 years old. The official status is "we are looking into it", and it is still the same 2 years later.

The problem seems to be that you used the Premium reports (either you paid or used the free one week trial) and there the Trainer tile set you up a goal. For premium account you can do the change for burnt calorie target only via the Trainer tile. But once you are not premium anymore the tile disappeared but then it is impossible to change the burnt calorie goal.

I had it and got it solved easily by a reboot of the device.

Also check your Fitbit profile and look if there is a cross symbol near your profile picture. If there is it means the system thinks you are still Premium.
