Why can't I use the Fitbit app without internet connection? 

I often track my walks with my phone and now I cant do that without being connected ? Since I updated the app it stopped working.. 

I don't like it 😅

Just to clarify, is this without a Fitbit tracker?

I am using the Versa, but just tried turning off wi-fi and did short walk inside my house and i seemed to work as expected.

What symptom/error are you seeing?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Yes. I mean without my charge 2. 

I track walks with the app, but now I cant even start the app without internet connection..

When you start the app, it tries to refresh your data by doing a sync. The sync needs Internet access. 

As for the actual recording of an activity, 

I started the app, disabled all data and was able to record a walk.
