Can't use fitbit ace with amazon kids fire table

I am trying to hook up a child's account on my daughter's amazon fire tablet so she can use it to track her fitbit ace.  It appears that the fitbit app she gets from amazon app store doesn't support the Ace as I can't find the child's mode in it.

I have seen other posts where it seems that the fitbit app on amazon app store is not up to date.  Is this the case?  I may have to return the fitbit ace if she can't use it with her amazon fire table.

Hi there, @hayesp25. I don’t see the Amazon Fire tablet on the list of supported devices so that is likely problem #1. You can always contact Support to be sure.

But I am wondering - did you set up a family account first?  From what I’ve read on the Help Pages, it sounds like you must first create a family account

WHAT IS A FITBIT FAMILY ACCOUNT?

Through the family account setting in the Fitbit app, you can create a special Fitbit account—known as a child account—for your child, control who they connect with in the Fitbit app, and see how active they are each day.

Hi - thanks for the reply.  I have setup the child account and actually connected it successfully to a different device.  My guess was that the Amazon App store app was just really out of date and I don't have another alternative to Amazon to install apps from.  I guess if it isn't supported then that would be why.

Thanks,

Pete
