Challenge Notifications Bug

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.
I have not been receiving phone notifications for the Weekend Warrior challenge I started today.

When I looked in options the notifications box is unticked, but also greyed out so I am unable to tick it. Sometimes when I go into it, it also says the challenge is "For 0-0 players" instead of "For 2-10 players".

The workweek hustle I just finished worked fine.

I have tried logging out, force quitting the app, and clearing the cache.

Any ideas?

@nightswimming that's pretty weird. In this case I recommend force quitting the app and then logging out and logging back in. After you do that, please check that everything is working as it should with the Weekend Warrior Challenge. If you could please post a screenshot so I can research a little better!

Thanks for bringing this up to my attention. I'll be looking forward to your new comments!

As I said in my first post I have logged out, force quit and cleared cache. Since then I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the app but still did not get notifications on the weekend warrior and also on the new workweek hustle.

Hey my friend @nightswimming, thanks for posting that picture. I was seeing that you replied back on Sep 5th, so by now there's a new Fitbit app version... have you updated it tracker already? Running old versions can cause bugs like this one, but make sure that it installed. Once you have done that, please try once more this:

  • Log out of your Fitbit App
  • Force quit the App
  • Turn off the Bluetooth
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes
  • Turn on the Bluetooth
  • Log back into your Fitbit App

If that doesn't work, please try the "Quit this Challenge" option and tell the owner of this challenge to resend the invitation again.

This bug is still happening. There was not a way to turn on notifications from the Fitbit App. Restarted phone multiple times and logged out and in multiple times. I do not want to quit the challenge! Please!

@ok2go welcome to the forums! Have you checked that your Fitbit app for Android has been updated to its latest firmware? Just like my friend @MarreFitbit described in the post above. Give it a try and let me know how it goes!

@Bowlingmom thanks for joining us! That's pretty weird. Are you talking about the text and call notifications? Because if that's the case the only trackers able to receive call and text notifications are Alta, Blaze, Charge, Charge 2, Charge HR, Flex 2 and the Surge. Let me know if that's the case.

I am having the same problem with not getting app notifications. I did try logging out, force-stopping and even uninstalling and reinstalling the fitbit app. For some reason no challenge notification (or steps hit or goal reached, etc.) are coming through. I verified with my phone (Note10+) that notification are enabled for this app. It just started happening after one of the recent updates (yes, I have the most updated version of the app).

So, no challenge notifications being received at all.
