For the last 2 weeks my fitbit charge 2 is not picking up my heart rate at the start of exercise. I have used fitbit for 2 years and exercise most days so know what to expect my heart rate to look like. Recently there will be several minutes - sometimes up to 15 - at the start of a run where my heart rate shows normal while the fitbit seems to be struggling to record my heart rate. I have not changed my strap and wear it as I always have, a little above my wrist. Any ideas?

Hi there @lholly, nice to have new faces in the Fitbit Community! I saw you are having issues with the heart rate since the Charge 2 seems is not picking up your reading at the start of the exercise.
In this case you know how to use your tracker as you mentioned and based on previous scenarios I have seen, as you might know the heart rate depends entirely of the intensity of your exercise. If this is an activity that you practice constantly your body will get used to the pace of the exercise, becoming less stressful that it was in the beginning, hence your heart rate will show a lightly rhythm.
This can be an explanation based on external causes, however I cannot discard the functionality of your tracker, so if you feel the previous explanation is not a reason why your heart rate is not picking up since the start of the exercise, I recommend to preform a restart. For more details take a look at this post as a reference: How to restart your Charge 2?
Hope this helps and don't forget to keep me posted if the issue persists.
