Charge 2 recording charging as sleep.

I just received my charge 2 with my Verizon Note 4. I had no problems with my charge HR. Last night I put my new FitBit on the charger before I went to bed and then put it on and went to sleep. Looking at the dashboard I see it included the charge time with my sleep, has anybody else had this issue you have any suggestions. Thanks!

I have never had that happen, @wallyma, but I can see where the tracker would have linked the times since it wasn't moving while it was on the charger and it just assumed you were sleeping the entire time. I usually charge mine while I am showering, shaving, etc., and it doesn't record it as any activity during that time. You can, however, edit your dashboard entry for the sleep to change the start time to when you actually went to bed - then it will show the correct times and activities.

Thanks Larry it is just hard to remember what time I fell asleep by the
time it's the next morning after taking a shower and everything. I try not
to go back into the bedroom in the morning because of grumpy pants ,if I'm
fumbling to put it on the charger and then going back in the room to get it
wouldn't be appreciated 🙂 . It is just this never happened with my old
Fitbit you would think the new one would be smart enough to know if it's on
the charger no data should be recorded. I hope this was just the snafu for
one time and it doesn't repeat

@wallyma Welcome to the Fitbit Community! Is this issue still happening to you? I think the reason why it included the charging time was because of what @USAF-Larry said. Your tracker thought you were sleeping the whole time.

I just want to know if the issue persisted?

Editing any wrong logs is also a good idea. On your dashboard tap the sleep tile, then tap the sleep log you want to edit. Then tap the little pencil icon that is on the top right corner of that screen and edit.
