It seems that when you have more than one device capable of logging sleep, the display shows the least detailed (Surge reports show asleep/restless/awake, Charge 2 shows deep/light/REM/awake), even though the sleep is recorded with the more detailed device.

Hello @dude, thank you for visiting the Fitbit Community! In this case I don't believed your Surge is overwriting the sleep stages from your Fitbit Charge 2. Otherwise the only scenario where this could be possible, is if you are wearing your two trackers during the night and in a case like that, your Dashboard is going to give priority to your more detailed information.
My theory here is that your tracker is not reading your sleep stages at all. So take in consideration the following:
