Charge 2 stopped syncing

Fitbit stopped syncing after two years.  I have tried the suggestions posted.  Turned on and off the blue tooth, restarted the phone (waited 10 seconds and then restarted it), removed and reinstalled the app (latest version). Cleared the cache on the phone.  Nothing seems to be working.  Removed the device from the blue tooth.  I tried to set up the charge 2 again on my phone. I go to the Fitbit app, setup device It finds the tracker, gives me a 4 digit code but does not pair.  Any other suggestions?
