I'm having issue syncing my charge 2 with my Samsung J3 phone. I have had this phone for almost a year and no issue syncing the charge 2 until last month. I have reset my charge 2 several time and reinstalled the app several times with no success.

Having tried restarting the fitbit without any luck then I would try restarting your phone. I would also try going into the phone's bluetooth settings and "forget" the link to the fitbit.
If that doesn't help then it's worth going through fitbit's troubleshooting guide at https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1866/
As it says at the end of that, if all else fails then it's probably best to contact customer support.

I also have the j3 and as of January 9th my charge 2 stopped syncing. I called customer service this morning and we went through all the reset, restart features and still no luck. in the app it says that it sees my tracker but then it's not able to pair I don't know what else to try the customer service guy suggested me buying a new tracker and then he told me that the j3 is not fully compatible with the trackers so he's not able to give me any more assistance I don't know what else to do
