Hello everyone,,
So my mum just got a new phone - Samsung A70 - after using my old Note 8 for a while. Note - neither of these phones is listed as compatible in the fitbit.com/devices section but the Note 8 has worked flawlessly with a Blaze, a Versa, and a Charge 2, so it's reasonable to assume the A70 would be the same.
Anyway, I unpaired the Charge 2 from her Note 8 in Bluetooth settings and it is showing up in the Fitbit app on the A70 and syncing OK. However, it is not appearing in the list of Bluetooth devices in the phone settings, which all Fitbits usually do. My guess is that the Charge 2 thinks it's still paired to the Note 8 Bluetooth. How on earth can I effectively reset the Charge 2 so it will make itself visible to a new phone for BT pairing??

@Jinnoy, you "unpaired" it incorrectly, and it is still on your account. However, it did not need to be "unpaired" to change phones - you can have the tracker on multiple devices without "unpairing" and "re-pairing". When you open the app on the new phone, and log into your account, the tracker will be on the app. When you open the Account screen on the phone, and select the tracker it should connect to it via Bluetooth and sync it. If it is not connecting, turn off the old phone so that the Bluetooth signal is not conflicting with the new phone.

Hi there @Jinnoy, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided and for taking the time to check if the phones were officially compatible with the Fitbit app.
First of all, please keep in mind that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.
Beside the information and recommendations from my friend @USAF-Larry, I'd suggest doing the following:
1. Reboot your new phone.
2. Make sure that the Charge 2 is no longer paired in the Note 8 or the A70. If so, please remove it from the phones' Bluetooth settings.
3. Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use.
4. Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
5. Setup your Charge 2 as a replacement.
Let me know if the steps work, I'll be around and glad to help you.
