Charge 2 won't pair with Moto g6

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My charge 2 wasn't syncing with my Android 8.0 Moto g6 so after looking on here, I unpaired it. Now I can't repair it as the Bluetooth isn't finding the charge 2. Do I have to somehow switch Bluetooth on on the Charge 2 and if so how? Please help. Thank you

Welcome to the Forums @spelongshaw and @Elb73.

Thanks for bringing this up and sharing those details.

In this case, please keep in mind that the set up has to be performed trough the Fitbit app and not through the phone's Bluetooth settings. You can click here to see the steps for the set up process. Please try going through all of them.

Let me know if there are any further questions.

I have tried to do it through the app & it still won't sync
Going to plug it into my laptop and try to restart it there.

Thanks for help. What worked in the end was switching my phone off and back on!

Did not work. Force stopped app. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app...several times. Power cycled phone. Charged and reset the Fitbit by holding the button in....and repeated it all several times. I get the number as it it will pair then it doesn't go any further. When it was originally installed it didn't sync with phone but it did install. Now it won't install. It's a charge 2 and Moto g6

Welcome to the Forums @Keyadv.

Thanks for trying all of those steps to get your Charge 2 to sync to your Moto G6 before posting in here.

this is happening because the Moto G6 is not part of the supported devices list. This means that the app has not been fully optimized to work with that phone.

As long as it fulfills the minimum requirements, Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0, there is a possibility that it can work but we cannot guarantee it. Some users of unsupported devices have mentioned that following these steps helps with the set up. Some of the steps you have already mentioned but going through them is definitely worth a try.

If none of the above works, you could try to use a computer or another mobile device to try and sync your Fitbit to your account. Click here to get instructions on how to pair with other devices.

Feel free to reach out if you need any further assistance.
