Charge 2 won't set up fitbit as new device

Hi. I have not used my fitbit since November and now I have a new email address etc. I have removed my fitbit from the old account and have set up a new account. I am trying to set up my charge 2 as a new device in my new account but it isn't finding the tracker.  I have a Samsung galaxy a5 2017. I have restarted the tracker, deleted the app on my phone and reinstalled it, restarted my phone. I don' know what else to do. Please help.

Having the same issue with my app on Huawei P9🙁

Used my iPad to pair the tracker in the end. Really annoying.

I'm also having difficulty with my charge 2 connectivity.  I even tried to sync to my tablet without any luck.  I've done all the usual procedures with no luck.  

The fact that I've tried to sync on 3 devices without luck suggests it's  the tracker with the issue.
