Charge 3 Sync and Fitness Tracking Issues

I have a Charge 3 and a Pixel XL phone. I have the latest Android and latest Fitbit app. I have upgraded from Charge 2 to Charge 3 and have the following issues that I didn't have with the Charge 2:

During runs the Fitbit is constantly gaining then losing sync with the phone

The Fitbit randomly ends tracking during runs

The Fitbit records 30 minutes of running but no steps, calories, or heart rate info.

After a run the Fitbit won't sync with phone. I have to delete the Charge 3 from the app then reinstall it. It works until the next time I go running then it's the same problem again.

Thank you for sharing all of those issues with us.

 

From the sounds of it, they could all be related to the same syncing issue. Given that at the moment there is a known situation with Android 9 that is causing syncing issues, it could be that the Fitbit not being able to connect to the phone leads to the tracking to stop, if they are connected for the tracking, which could lead to the activities ending or the information not being tracked at all.
