Charge 3 doesn't sync with Samsung Galaxy J7

I traded out my old Charge for a Charge 3 last March. It has never auto-synced with my Samsung J7 phone even though the All Day Sync is selected, but neither did the old Charge. I have to manually sync. If I remember to do this every day, it can take up to half an hour. The longer I go without syncing, the longer it takes. I let it go 16 days now and it has been trying to sync for over 12 hours. I would sync my old Charge once every two weeks to reset the time as I was traveling to a different time zone for work. It would never take more than half an hour to sync. I am very unhappy with this new one.

Hi @SunsetRunner. Welcome to the Community Forums.

Thanks for letting me know about your Charge 3's behavior. After checking, it seems that your Samsung Galaxy J7 phone isn't a supported device, meaning that the Fitbit app hasn't been fully optimized to work with this phones. While there isn't a guarantee that it'll always work to sync, we can still try some steps together:

  1. Remove the Charge 3 and any other device from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Turn off the Bluetooth in your phone and any other device that is nearby, such as phones, tablets or computers.
  3. Uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app on your phone.
  4. Reboot your phone and restart your Charge 3.
  5. Open the Fitbit app and log in to your Fitbit account.
  6. Tap on the profile's icon > Charge 3 > sync now.
  7. Once your device has synced, tap on notifications and follow the onscreen instructions to allow them.

Give it a try and let me know how it goes.
