Hi I see many people are having trouble syncing their phones to the charge3 and I saw somewhere on a forum that the watch itself can be reset which fixes the problem. I have no idea why they don't put this in the help menus. There is a way to reset your watch without losing data (except for the time when my watch didn't sync) I did it myself.
On your watch itself go to settings. under settings scroll down to about and click on that. Annabelle scroll down how to clear user data which will unpair your devices as it says in the next screen. Click the check and your phone will go blank for a moment as it resets. Be patient it will come back. When your watch comes back on.you will have to reset your Bluetooth connection and allow for notifications like text weather, etc on your Fitbit app. I hope this helps I am so glad to get mine up and running again. Not Annabelle.. was supposed to be 'on 'about' tab. personally I never clicked on that about because I thought it was just information about the phone and that was it. I didn't know that was where to look to reset the watch.
Also you will have to have the bluetooth on your phone refind the watch. I was surprised that my Android smartphone took off the connection just from resetting the watch. Be patient all this should be done by itself without much intervention from you.
