I've just upgraded from a Xperia Z5 Compact where the fitbit charge 3 has performed flawlessly. However i've just got a new Xiaomi Redmi note 6 pro, and the fitbit is no longer getting notifications, the phone app is prompting me to restart phone, which has now been done 3 times.
Any suggestions please

Hey there @MentalMinion, it's nice to see you here! The reason why you're not getting notifications is because Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 is not yet a compatible device with the Fitbit app.
Note that the devices on this list have been confirmed as fully compatible with all features of Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app. While a phone or tablet may not be verified as fully compatible, the Fitbit app may still work with your device.
Our team routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models. Be sure to verify that your phone meets the minimum operating system requirements. Also, it would be great if you take a look at the article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone.
Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.
I've moved your post to the Android App as there are more chances to get related replies here.
Let me know if there's anything else I may assist you with.

Sorry, completely forgot about this thread.
How long do you estimate a fix will be forthcoming...?
I only ask this because, Xiaomi are now readily available in the UK, and more & more people will succumb to this problem

Thanks for coming back @MentalMinion! We don't have a specific date on when more Xiaomi phones will be added to our list of Supported Devices.
As mentioned above, The developer team is aware of the need to add new devices to the list of compatible devices. There are some users who can synchronize with non-compatible devices. If your phone meets the requirement of Minimum Supported OS (Android 4.4 KitKat), you can try the tips on the following help article: Synchronization troubleshoot or set up troubleshoot (whichever you like).
Thanks for your understanding. Let me know if I can assist you further!

Welcome on board @DownBack, it's nice to see a new member around! Thanks for already troubleshooting this notification inconvenience, nice way to go!
I'm afraid to say that the mobile phone you own is not yet a compatible device.
Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.

Hello,
I received my Charge 3 a few hours ago and had the same problem with my Redmi Note 5. I fixed it by changing the battery saver option for the Fitbit App.
Go to "Settings" > "Installed Apps" > "Fitbit" > "Battery Saver" > change option from "Battery Saver" to "No restrictions".
I also gave the authorization to Fitbit to run at startup by activating the AutoStart option in "Settings" > "Installed Apps" > "Fitbit".
I now receive Call and SMS notifications.
I hope it will work for you too.
Matt

Hi @MentalMinion ,
I have a Redmi Note 6 Pro too, and I am considering buying the Charge 3.
Would you be so kind to let me know how it worked for you ?
Have you been able to set up the notifications ?
Is the rest (activity tracking) working properly ?
Many thanks in advanced,

The android application version 2.90 (20213375), the phone Xiaomi mi 6 and Xiaomi mi 9.
ikekreham's tips helped and the message about the need to restart the phone disappeared. However, I still do not receive notifications. Earlier, I received notifications on mi6. What's the problem?
