Charge 3 not receiving messages from pixel 4a

I upgraded to a pixel 4a two weeks ago and my charge 3 stopped receiving notifications of any kind from the phone (messages, calls, calendar, etc.). I have walked through all the trouble shooting steps, restarted everything, checked notification settings and privacy settings on my phone and the app and nothing has worked. The charge 3 continues to sync daily with my phone and the app, but I've lost all notifications.

Have you checked that the Charge 3 is not in its DND mode? 

Has power management been turned off for the Fitbit app?
