I just bought this from a friend. It's not pairing with my phone at all and I've tried the available things online to troubleshoot but it doesn't seem to be working:(

Was your friend around when you tried to set it up? If so, make sure their phone doesn't still have a connection to the fitbit in its bluetooth settings as this could block connection to your phone.

 

Also, have you checked that your phone works with fitbit at www.fitbit.com/devices ?
