Hi
My Fitbit charge 3 has stopped tracking exercise. It is counting steps, recognising the minutes exercise, but not noting as a day (e.g. 1 of 7 days)
I have "forced stop" the app, turned bluetooth off / on but nothing has worked
Does anyone know what the fix is
Thanks DJa

@DianneJa A warm welcome to our Community!
Thank you for your inquiry. Your device detects activities based on the motion on your arm. The automatic detection is a feature called SmartTrack. For example when using the elliptical machine make sure you have the moving bars so your device detects the motion and record the activity itself, once an Elliptical activity is saved on your account it should show on the Recent Exercise area. If your heart rate is high but there isn't much motion (yoga, weight lifting, etc.) then these activities will be difficult to be detected by your device. Still you can manually log your activity so you have a record on your account or use the activity mode on the device itself.
Let me know how it goes.

Hi
This is not why the fitbit is not working, there were no issues until last week when it suddenly ceased to track exercise
I don't wish to track exercise manually when I have paid a price for the fitbit to track for me (basically perform how it should).
Is there an issue with the fitbit charge 3?
Thanks
Dianne

Hi
My response was marked as an accepted solution incorrectly, the issue remains

I have suddenly started having the same issue with mine. Not registering activity at all. Be interested to see of you get a reply.

Hi
Unfortunately I think it is unlikely, I was given a very standard answer (which everyone receives). Which wouldn't solve the issue and no response to my note back.
Will keep asking though!

I am having the same problem. Seems to have started for me after the last update to the Android app on 4/1/19. Last exercise that was tracked was on 3/30/19. Everything is syncing correctly, just not tracking the exercise.

The last time it tracked exercise on mine was 28th March, so around the same time. I suspect there is an issue, which is why Fitbit are completely ignoring this post now!

Hello @DianneJa, and @BJVoght. Welcome to the Forums @Jane23.
I apologize for the delay in my response. Thanks for sharing those details on the matter.
I'd like to ask if the situation has continued since then or if you have been able to get the exercise tracked and posted into the exercise section of the Fitbit app.
I look forward to your reply.

Firstly, I would like to state how extremely disappointed I am to learn you have removed two of the posts in this thread, both of which were to request an update on this ongoing issue (thus providing confirmation the issue has not resolved).
To clarify the issue has not resolved itself & I now have a new issue whereby sleep is not tracking (for awareness I understand how the charge 3 tracks sleep & this is NOT the issue)
With regards to my original note, can you confirm if this is a known issue with the fitbit charge 3
Thanks

Not sure if you have resolved your issue yet, but I have managed to get a solution outside this forum
I did a soft reset (if you don't know how to do this YouTube have clips on how to soft reset). It has now started to track exercise & sleep!! 😁
Hope you get your issue sorted soon
Dianne

Mine is still working, but I am having constant issues with it. Very very disappointed with this fitbit, I suspect they have reached their limit with the design ........

Did you ever get this resolved? I'm having the same issue on my Inspire HR. Everything else is syncing except for exercise.
