Charge 3 won't pair

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My charge 3 won't pair with Galaxy S9+... at least it doesn't show up on phone as paired. The "How to Restart..." instructions don't actually explain how to restart so only assuming I did so. The Charge 3 doesn't show up on available devices. This just started happening this morning.  Although the Charge 3 is not pairing, it still syncs with app and maintains current data except for heartrate as far as I can tell. App version 2.84, Firmware version 28.2...

Hi @SunsetRunner

Directions for restarting - click

"For Charge 3—press and hold the button on your tracker for 8 seconds. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted."

When mine acts up, I clean the cache in app, log out of Fitbit, turn off bluetooth and restart the phone. Then I open the app, turn on bluetooth and it seems to work again.

Let us know what happens.

The article tells one to restart but not how. Your steps didn't work. Also, the charge 3 needs to be on the charger to restart, don't restart otherwise. Thanks for the help though.

The article does say how to restart, but here are the steps.

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
  4. Press and hold the button to restart your tracker:
    • For Charge 3—press and hold the button on your tracker for 8 seconds. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
  5. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.
