Fitbit charge 6 won't download ecg pdf. I tried deleting app cache. Reinstalling Fitbit app.turnimg blue tooth off and on. Hard restart of phone and watch. It shows the pdf ready to download but when I try it just gets stuck. I have a Motorola phone with Android 12. It was previously working with a charge 5 that died. I also made sure all the permissions are on.

It doesn't seem to be an OS update, as my phone does not get any updates anymore (Xaomi 9T Pro, with Android 11).
So it really seems to be a Fitbit-app issue.
And as Fitbit-support replied: "We are aware of the situation and regret that we cannot provide an immediate solution at this time."

I'm having the same problem with downloading ECG Assessment PDFs. They just hang. I'm running v4.32. I read the posts about using an older (4.25) version and I might try it, but it seems a heavy price to pay (no auto updates from PlayStore) in order to achieve this for someone with no pre-existing cardiac conditions. But A-Fib does run in the family and I purchased the Charge 6 partly for it's ability to detect this arrhythmia, partly to get ECG readouts and lastly because of it's Google Wallet capabilities. But so far I've been disappointed in the last 2 out of 3 of these features. Unfortunately the Wallet doesn't work with many cards, despite these same cards working with Wallet on their phones and no-one can get a straight answer from either Fitbit/Google or the card-associated banks as to why this is the case.
These failures are very disappointing and I'd expect much better from a tech titan like Google. Please step up to the plate and fix these problems so we can enjoy the features we paid quite dearly for in the realm of fitness trackers!

Indeed, the problem is still the same: ECG report ready, tap download, small dialog with spinning wheel indicating it is downloading, and that's it. Keeps spinning forever, and thus no pdf.
Previously it did work, but it is broken for a couple of months now.

Same problem for me. Open notification and wait keeps spinning. On my kindle fire at this point it opens the downloads directory and allows the destination directory and filename to be modified. Could the failure on Android be due to file access permissions changing ? Thereby stopping the file selector popup.

Still does not work after the latest app update yesterday - just spins when try to download or share the pdf report. Android 11, Sense 2.
Thanks for following up.

Hi @AndreaFitbit,
Unfortunately, the pdf download process still goes into an infinite download loop with a Galaxy S10, running Android 12, using the latest App 4.34.1 version, but the report does show up in the App notifications as ready to download. No push notification to the phone though.
Someone mentioned that it may have to do with the fact that the Fitbit App only has media access permissions, with no file access permissions, which seems like a likely culprit.
Looking forward to a resolution to this longstanding problem soon.

Same here. Android 11. I even tried using the online PDF Editor and Converter https://pdfguru.com/ which I use for work since it handles a wide range of tasks and always comes in handy when working with PDFs. But unfortunately, this seems to be an issue with the app, and I think it will take some time for the developers to fix it.

Hi @AndreaFitbit,
Has Google provided any update regarding when this ECG download issue may finally get resolved?
The ECG download function hasn't worked for several months now and the ability to take ECG measurements and analyze them was the sole reason why I spent the extra money to replace my wife's Inspire 3 with a Charge 6.

App 4.37 just got released and the ECG PDF download function hasn't worked since 4.26 was released; more than 5 months now!
How much longer is it going to take for Google to get their act together and fix this ECG PDF download issue, which is one of the key product performance features of the Charge 6?
