Charge HR not syncing

Hey Fitbit team:

My Charge HR is not able to sync anymore.

I am on an LG G6, Android 8.0.0, and have downloaded all the Fitbit app updates, including the latest one on 10/30.

I have tried

  • restarting the Fitbit
  • restarting the phone
  • restarting the app
  • uninstalling the app and reinstalling it
  • Deleting the Fitbit from the app and tried to readd it - I cannot add it back anymore. When I try to add it, it tells me to type the 4 digit code on the Fitbit display, which I correctly enter, and then the app just keeps spinning trying to connect but never does
  • I have also tried connecting it to my Bluetooth on my Windows 10 laptop, but it gets stuck at "Searching" for the device, and never connects.

This has been a super frustrating few weeks, and I have read all the 'cannot sync' posts in these forums and tried all the recommended solutions but nothing has worked.

I need the Fitbit Engineering team to recommend to me what to do to get my Fitbit Charge HR to connect back to my phone. Very frustrated.

Welcome to the Forums @PNWRunner.

Thank you very much for getting through all of those steps before posting in here.

It is very possible that this is happening because the LG G6 is not part of the supported devices list. This means that the app has not been fully optimized to work with that phone.

As long as it fulfills the minimum requirements, Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0, there is a possibility that it can work but we cannot guarantee it. Some users of unsupported devices have mentioned that following these steps helps with the syncing. Having said that, you have already gone through all of those steps, according to the list you posted. Maybe you could try going through them in the order that they show up on that article.

If none of the above works, you could try to use a computer or another mobile device to try and sync your Fitbit to your account. Click here to get instructions on how to sync with other devices.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
