Charge3 not syncing with lg v20

Before anybody answers that the lgv20 is not on the list of compatible devices,  consider that I use charge 2 and 3 since over 3years on this device, that fitbit states i might work on other devices, and that the list of compatible devices is rather small compared to the customer base.  Admittedly,  there have been sync issues over the years, requering restarting the phone, or rebooting the device, or repairing bt, up to reinstalling the app and fully restoring the device, somthing you wouldn't want to do to often.  In the end it worked again for a long long time.  But now it fails daily,  which is simply to much.  I wonder weather there is any advice other than buying a 'compatible' phone.  Than firstly I wonder if that would really help, an secondly buying another tracker would be cheaper.

@Gweiller Welcome! It's nice to have you on board!

Sorry for the delay in my reply and for the syncing issues you are having with your Charge 3. Thank you for taking the time to troubleshoot this issue. You could try refreshing the link between your phone and your tracker by doing the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  • You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

Let me know how it goes.
