GPS Tracking not working on Charge 3 Fit bit and APP

Charge3 Fitbit Firmware 28.2000163.5

APP Version : 3.9.1

Mobile: Sony XA1

Android: Oreo 8.0.0

 

When selecting an Exercise from the Charge3 , It is unable to connect to the phone , and displays message to restart the APP.

Charge3 is set to sync all day , and when I open the App it shows it is sync'd .

 

When completing an activity , it will show the exercise but no GPS Tracking.

 

GPS tracking will only work when I select the activity from the phone , and select start Activity.

Restarting the APP has no effect.

Nor dose restarting the phone.

 

Please advise .

@welsh1lad Welcome! It's great to see you around! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

 

Let me help you with your Charge 3 not connecting with your phone during GPS activities and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Try refreshing the link between them by doing the following:

 

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
