Charges will not sync with Samsung Galaxy J3

My Charge2 has not synced with my phone since 8th August. I have restarted my phone and reset the fitbit numerous times. I have also unpaired and then paired them again. Nothing is working. I see from the forum that other devices have the same issue but haven't found anything about mine. I'm about to throw it in the bin!

Thanks for joining the Community @SM15.

This might happening because the Galaxy J3 is not currently a supported device. This means that the app has not been fully optimized to work with it as of yet and some issues like this might happen.

It's important to note that as long as a phone fulfills the minimum requirements, Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0, there is a possibility that it will work, but we cannot guarantee it. Some users with unsupported devices have mentioned that following these troubleshooting steps helps out, maybe you could give it a try.

Let me know if there are any other questions.

Thanks for the information. It has been working, with the documented
hiccups, since December last year though. So something must have changed.
Are you saying that I have to buy a new phone?

Hello @SM15.

Absolutely not, I am not saying that you have to purchase a new phone. I am mentioning that the hiccups might be happening because the app has not been fully optimized to work with that phone.

Like I mentioned, as long as the minimum requirements have been fulfilled then there is a possibility that it will sync, but we cannot guarantee it.

Like in your case, it is working with some hiccups which could be expected given that the phone is not supported. I hope this clarified my intention!

Let me know if you have any further questions.
