I'm having the same problem. I've tried reinstalling the app and resetting my Fitbit Charge 3, but I cannot change the clockface. The app spins and spins and occasionally says there is no internet connection, which is untrue.
I'm having the same issue on my Note 8... My guess is the servers are overloaded with new users due to it being Christmas day... Hopefully anyway.
I did have the screen load once for a second but trying to browse to all faces caused the same connection error to appear...
