Comparing Exercise History (weights/spinning/etc.)

Hi Fitbit team!

How can I look at the history for each previous exercise?

From what I can tell, only the running function has this. I do a variety of training and will need to track my progress for each individual type of exercise. My main focus is looking at heart rate zones and calories burned for weights and spinning in addition to the already available running history. Ideally, I would like this data available for all exercises available.

Hoping it is user error or an update coming soon!

Thank you 🙂

@NoelleH08mind that TP is great but expensive (but for me it's good enough to pay for it). Alternatively, you could check Runnalyse, I have heard lots of good about it, but never used it myself so can't tell anything else. Platforms that support comparative analysis out of the box are Polar (Flow web service does great job), Garmin and Suunto (last one goes through big changes so I would consider only first two brands at this moment). So if it's not too late, you may consider changing the watch. Fitbit isn't sports watch but mere all-day activity tracker hence there is no focus on sport-related data analysis.

@NoelleH08 Welcome to the Community. I'll be happy to clarify your question.

Sorry for the delayed reply. Every time you track an exercise and sync it to your app, it will show you heart rate zones, energy which will show calories burned and the impact on your day. Please check the screenshot below for the data that you will see in your app.

Could you share a screenshot of the data that you're seeing on your app?

Let me know how it goes.

Thank you! On the running screen, it shows a 'recent' tab where it tracks distance. For the other activities it would be nice to track calories burned and average heart rate in this same fashion. Screenshots attached.

Is this a possibility?

@NoelleH08 you can't do this with Fitbit. There is no proper comparative analysis in the Fitbit software (web and mobile app) and even the one you see for running is very simplified. It's even more limited for non-GPS exercises like Workout or Weights. You may try to pair Fitbit with thirdparties like TrainingPeaks (I don't know if it's supported but several users mentioned TP integration) which is exactly what you are asking for. Fitbit is very slow with adding new and useful features (and rather quick with taking away those which in fact are useful) so I wouldn't count it will improve anytime soon.

Bummer. New to fitbit and wish I knew this going into it. Hope this is something they consider. It would be an easy-add to the platform that can assist with tracking progression.

Thanks for the feedback and app recommendation though. I will definitely look into it!
