Compatibility with Samsung Galaxy A50

Hi there,

Can anyone PLEASE tell me if the Samsung A50 is fully compatible with the Inspire HR? I had a nightmare with my Alta because it turned out it had never been FULLY compatible with my Samsung A5. I've since got a new phone & am in the market for a new Fitbit, but wanna get it right. The sleep settings never worked right on Alta. Sooooo frustrating spending 2 years trying to figure it out, only to be told (after several consultations with online 'support') that it had never been fully compatible to begin with. Any help/advice wud be much appreciated...

Hello @Neasa welcome to the Community Forums.

Thanks for all the details that were shared in your post, sorry to know that you experienced difficulties in the past with your Alta and Samsung Galaxy A5. Let me share with you that the Samsung Galaxy A50 is not listed as a compatible device with our products and services, therefore, you can experience certain difficulties with some of your Inspire HR features. This doesn't mean that your Fitbit device will not work at all with such mobile device, however, we cannot ensure a proper function of all your Fitbit features due to Android, Fitbit app and device updates.

Let me know if you have any additional questions.

Do you have any idea if the Samsung A50 will ever be added to the list? I have a versa and its not pairing with the A50. I really like this new phone but I also really like my versa and was using the Fitbit App a lot. Not sure if I should keep this phone if its not going to be added or just get rid of my versa.

Hi @Jgrenier welcome aboard, sorry for the delay in responding.

At this moment I'm not sure when or if this specific mobile device will be added to our compatibility list, however, keep in mind that Fitbit is always testing devices to make sure that they will meet all the requirements to work as intended with our products and services. My best advise will be to constantly check our list of compatible devices for any update. Also, keep your Android and Fitbit app versions up to date.

Even though your mobile device isn't compatible, If you haven't already done so I recommend you to check all the information that's specified on: How do I set up my Fitbit device? to check if all the requirements are correctly configured to setup your device. Then, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes.

See you around.

Hi,

I've an A50 too and the mobile notifications are not working on my versa 2.

If I am honest it is so unclearn that the versa 2 is not compatible with all mobiles!

Where does it state this clearly ? When purchasing this wasnt even mentioned ! If I'd of known I wouldn't of purchased it as now I'm left with a non fully functional smart watch.  I don't see the difficulty in having this compatible with all the latest devices. I'm so disappointed now finding this out after I've purchased this for €200, opened it and now can't return it.

I was throughly  enjoying my versa 2 until I had to get a new phone and bought a samsung A50. Now the versa seems useless since it won't sync. Very disappointed.  According  to Verizon the A50 is a top seller, so why won't it sync to a popular phone?  I tried everything listed here except running fit bgg it AB in background...I have no idea what that means.  I sure hope that Fitbit works on making the A50 compatible soon!
