To assist the Fitbit Android Community below is a list of all compatible devices I have compiled from the official fitbit.com/devices page.

I will be reviewing the list weekly and will update this thread as new devices are added.

Hi,

Have have a new fitbit charge 2 and been having trouble setting it up with my Sony xperia XA1. I called fitbit support who told me that it's because my phone isn't compatible. However it did work with my old charge HR. So I'm really confused and disappointed I can't use my new fitbit.

When will the Sony xperia XA1 be made compatible?

Sam

Just checked the list today the 29th September 2017; nil new devices added since July 2017 update.

Fitbit have added a total of two new devices for 2017.

I think anyone with a device which is currently not supported and is patiently waiting for it to be added should perhaps realise it's not gonna happen.

You must be mistaken. They've clearly stated that they're working hard on it.

The big problem with Fitbit is that thier list of compatible Android devices is ancient and most new models of Android phone are never likely to be added. From experience you are likely to get the Fitbit to sync with most Android devices but don't expect notifications or connected GPS to work. If you have an iPhone, fitbits are fine, if you have an Android you're better off with Garmin.

If you've got a Huawei most likely you're not even going to be able to sync at all.

BTW, Android has an 80% market share!!! Not supporting it is simply not an option for a company that wants to stay on the market. Seriously, I despise Android, but I still use it as there are no other options.

And the support on this forum and in general is driving me crazy. There is a blatant huge problem and we're not even able to get a comment on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello, as my Samsung J3 isn't supported I need a new phone in order to use the GPS with my Blaze. Do you have a list of suitable handsets please?

Cheers, Ashley.

I have just got the charge 2 as a Christmas present. After 3 days i discover that Apparently it won't work with my Huawei p9 lite. Can i return the fitbit. I find it hard to believe that such a high profile brand can have such a limited rangd of compatable devices.

Please add Honor 5 to the list too - it's so frustrating not being able to sync on my phone and having to use my husband's.  Pretty please!!!

Some people seem to think that this thread is run/read/maintained by Fitbit staff - it's not, it's by other FitBit users.  If you have a problem with compatibility / syncing and want FitBit Staff help it's best to contact FitBit directly rather than through the 'Community' pages.  E.g. through 'Help'  or 'Get Support' on your phone or computer.

They do reply, but if the problem is an incompatible phone the general message seems to be 'bad luck'. Not very helpful, I know. I find that if my phone's not syncing, if I sync to a computer (laptop or desk-top), the phone-sync performs better for a while. Not ideal, but better than nothing.
