@CatieCu , we're aware that it's not run by the Fitbit Staff. But we're using it to put pressure on Fitbit to solve this unacceptable problem. They're selling as android comptabile a smartwatch that works exclusively with android phones made before 2016!!! Seriously, there's just one 2016 phone in that list, let alone the 2017 models.

Going through official help channels is absolutely unuseful. They just write canned response or ignore you. Since fitibt, like many other modern companies, delegated support to unofficial comunities, let's make ourselves heard here.

They do reply, but if the problem is an incompatible phone the general message seems to be 'bad luck'.

You do realize that there aren't compatible phones on the market anymore?

@luca85 I known it's totally frustrating. The Sony list is over 3 years old as well

My earlier Sony (2015 model) gave unpredictable results. I broke that phone 12 months ago and upgraded to the next model in the range ( 2016 rlease) and everything I use works.. It isn't on the compatibility list and runs Android 7.1.1.

All of my Apps I need to communicate with send me notifications, even some obtuse ones which I have selected in the App notifications.  This includes Pay.. I don't use music.

I can understand why Fitbit maybe concentrating on the the Apple market because there are less models.. I have the same problem with my hearing aids.. Everything is there for Apple but not Android.. I get the same canned responses from the manufactures so I have to use the iPad to control my hearing Aids....

But my syncing is up and down like many in the forums.. Phone and Fitbit Connect failed on syncing on my Ionic most of today... Then at precisely 2am yesterday California time, 9pm Melbourne time.. Immediate syncs on both the phone and the Fitbit Connect....Smiley TongueSmiley Frustrated

No change to my environment or restarting etc.....  I have to put up with it... But I'm getting the information..

Reviewed the official device list today; nil changes for android since July 2017 when they added the Google Pixel and Samsung S8 variants. Only change is they've added support for the new iPhones on the market.

Fitbit's device testing team is clearly retired; they've only managed to add two new android devices in the past 18 months.

I've given up waiting for my LG V20 to be supported. I do like to occasionally complain about it, on social media though. You know, just for fun.

Likewise for my Moto Z, I have since switched to Garmin.

Not have a list that could be simply looked at is really hiding compatibility.  Your logic is that you have the phone, what about if you are willing to buy/get a phone that you want to work with a Fitbit. The way you have it (rather than a chart) you have to enter every phone on the drop down and make your own list.  For the most part it seems only quite expensive phones are compatible. We gave up getting it to work with our phones that met the basic standards and work with bluetooth speakers and headphones and our car, but are erratic syncing with Fitbit. I probably gained weight the time I spent trying to get it to work right.

@Way2Your post conjures up some thoughts... Why not create list here of those of us that have phones not on the list and work..and keep adding to it..

LG K20 Plus (MetroPCS)  - not compatible

Sorry I don't have an $800 phone.

I bought 2 Altra HRs on the 1st and returned them today (11th) as it was a huge waste of time tying get them to keep syncing.  I did not sign up for a new project. Based on my research syncing problems are common and excuses the norm. I bought Fitbit brand because I thought they knew what they were doing. As long as syncing does not work I get a $25 Chinese brand one instead or maybe a Garmin, assuming theirs is not a rebrand.

My feeling is that the list is not reliable (some posts talk about phones in list that are not working) and there is no intention of expand it or support people with different devices .. they seems to be focused on support the top (>800 €)

I'm not sure. Huawei has some >800 € phones and they're not supported. Nokia, Moto, LG, are not >800€ in general but they're not cheap either. And they're not supported.

It's not supported, so if it stops working don't expect any help from

Another for the list Sony Expedia M4 aqua. Think it's running Android 5. Failed when the 2.64 arrived.

Looks like we should get shares in Garmin. Everyone is talking of switching.

Lots of you have mentioned them. I am surprised that you haven't been edited (spelled starting with c) and your posts stay up.
