Just an fyi - I've already seen and read the guide posted previously on the discussion boards on calorie in vs. out and the calorie summary and how ti works. I thought I understand how the calorie system worked in fitbit but I was reviewing yesterday's results and I am completely confused. Here are my numbers from yesterday.
I ate 1912 calories (calories in)
I burned 3708 calories (calories out)
I am budgeted to have a deficit of 750 calories.
My fit bit app is telling me that I am over 704 calories (knife, fork and plate display). How am I over 704 calories when, at the end of the day, there is a 1796 calories difference between what I ate and what I burned (almost double my budgeted deficit).
Last night, the numbers seemed correct with the app saying I had 1000 calories left to eat but when I woke up today it said I was now over. I have my food budget set to sedentary so it shouldn't be basing it on an estimated burned calorie value. Anyone have any thoughts? Am I not undertanding something?
Thanks,

Thanks for taking a break from stepping to visit the Community @KrisRodrigues! Food plan can be a little tricky. However, our friend @SebringDon did an amazing job in these series of posts that you can check to understand better this.
I hope this gets you back on track! 😉

I've already read that guide, which is what I had vaguely mentioned in my previous post. I understood how the app is supposed to work but that app itself is where the issue was. 4 days after I posted this topic, the app corrected itself and it fixed the calculation. When it fixed itself, the numbers made sense and added up but for some reason it took a few days for the app to calculate it properly.
Thanks for responding though.
