I started out wondering why I couldn't interface my Android Galaxy S5 and my PC. The more I dug, the worse things got. So here's what I did and where I am.
I started out trying to figure out what to do with the instruction to go to www.fitbit.com/setup
As you know, it takes you to a page to download software. Then what? I need to create a FitBit account? But the only place the option to create an account on FitBit.com is labeled something like "create an account if you don't own one". Well, seems a bit stupid. I looked around, but that's all I could find, so I did that.
After the fact, I guess I wasn't suppse to create an account from the FitBit website, but from within the FitBit app. Who knows? When the only "Getting Started" instruction with Blaze says www.fitbit.com/setup.........
So, at this point, I did the logical thing. I plugged the Blaze into the craddle, plugged the craddle into my Win 10 Laptop, launched the software, which activated my Bluetooth, and the software said to enter the 4 digit code that appeared on the Blaze, which I did, BUT! I entered the first number clicked the next box, entered the 2nd number, clicked the 3rd box, etc. and when done, it didn't find the device. Repeated and got the same result. Then I though, geee, maybe I need to just enter the 4 digit number without selecting the box to put it in, and that worked! Yeah, great design on that! Not! Next -
I got the notification the Blaze needed to updated, but wait... it found it but now it can't find it to update it even though it says its connected and charging. After some digging, I find there is an issue with Win 10 and Updates. I removed the Bluetooth sync with the Blaze (forget the device). Ok, got it, but why the heck doesn't FitBit IMMEDIATELY SENSE WIN 10 and stop you?????? Really, you want to make new users try to figure out why this new $200 device isn't working? Seriously!! Next -
I go to my Galaxy S5 to sync and undate the Blaze. Fine, it worked. Now, I want to check it Blaze on my PC, so I go back to my laptop with the Blaze in the craddle, and the laptop doesn't see it. It's charging, but the software doesn't see it. It dawned on me that it saw it the first time via Bluetooth and not the USB. So, I try to reestablish the Bluetooth connection. Trying to troublshoot the Bluetooth not connecting, I "forget" the connection on my Android, but now it still doesn't connect on my laptop. After more DIGGING, I find the Blaze can only connect via bluetooth with one device. Fine, ok, I'll just Bluetooh to my Galaxy S5 and leave it at that, but... Next -
My Galaxy S5 won't connect to the Blaze now. 4 HOURS AFTER I first get the Blaze to work over my S5, it still will not find my S5 again. I've rebooted both the S5 and the Blaze. No change. I now have a Blaze that syncs with nothing. My experience is beyond bad. As a little background, I've worked with computers since the 70s, I build computers, I use to program in everything from BASIC, FORTRAN, LISP, etc., so I don't consider myself ill informed with technology.
Clearly, the device shortcomings could have been clearly explained during the INSTALLATION phase to prevent much of my experience. As to why the device will no longer connect.......? Next stop, Best Buy where I got it, and if they can't figure it out, I'll just undo my mistake purchasing it.

I am sure that is very annoying; you were very patient and persistent enough to try to figure it out though. I probably would've given up on it. I don't know why, but some people seem to be having problems while others breeze right through it. I did my entire set up through my phone and the app, and that process was very practical and simple. Sorry you've had trouble... The only difficulty I had was with bluetooth for the music. A hard reset fixed the problem and has fixed it every single time. I did a little searching and found some people remedied their syncing issues by uninstalling the app and then reinstalling it again...

It won't work on my Galaxy either. I find Fitbit to be annoying and not user friendly.
