Connection difficulties after firmware update

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I uploaded the most recent firmware on the 29th, but since then my ionic won't register sleep (although it is in the same position on my wrist as before), transfer my active hours to the app or sync to Strava. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Hi @Spenny71, welcome to the Community Forums! Sorry for the delayed reply.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which Android mobile device are you using to sync your Ionic? Is your device not tracking sleep information at all or Sleep Stages? Only Active minutes are not being synced or other stats too? In regards Strava, please take into consideration the details that are specified on our help article: How do I set up and troubleshoot apps on my Fitbit device?

Keep me posted.

Hi Ricardo,

Thank you for your response. The syncing seems to have resolved itself now.
Unfortunately the fitbit itself now resets itself every 30mins or so or
just vibrates. It hasn't lost any info and syncs, but it is a problem that
I would like to resolve. It started after the last firmware update, I have
tried to reset manually and also turned the fitbit off and on. Any help is
gratefully appreciated.

Kind Regards

Spenny

Your update is appreciated @Spenny71, sorry for the delayed reply.

Thanks for bringing this concern to my attention, I'm happy to know that the syncing difficulties were resolved. Since you already restarted your device with no avail, please try the following steps to factory reset your device:

  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
  5. When the device successfully resets, please use the normal out of the box process of updating the firmware. You can check: How do I update my Fitbit device? for more details.

Take in consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your applications, alarms, etc.

Let me know if you have any additional questions.
