Constant "additional action required" notification

I have a Galaxy S4 paired with a Charge HR and every couple of hours or so my phone will have the notification to accept the push notification for calls ("additional action required"). I have set it up numerous times and it's just aggravating for it to not stay on.

Me too - I have a Galaxy S6 and I keep getting a message from fitbit saying 'additional action required' re notifications.  It's annoying!  When I check, my notifications are on in any event.

@Wsuhook7@Mickeyfreebs You must allow the Fitbit Notification Service to have Notification Access in your Android device. As this setting lives in multiple locations across different Android devices, I will let you know where mine lives but it may differ for you.

Go to Android settings > Lock screen & Security > Other security settings > Notification Access

Hope this helps you out.

@Wsuhook7 Have you turned on the actual call notifications from the notifications menu in the Fitbit app?

To do so, do the following:

  1. Click on the device tile at the top of the Android Dashboard
  2. Click on your device
  3. Click on "Call and Text Notifications" under "General"
  4. Click on "Call Notifications" and make sure that it is toggled ON and you've selected the default app that you'd like to receive notifications from.
  5. Do the same for "Text Notifications" if you have a Surge, as that tracker allows text notifications as well.

It will look like my screenshot below:

Thanks Erick, but it doesn't seem to be that.  When I go into that setting it asks me to enable notifications and they are definitely already enabled.

I've made a few other changes.  I'll see if that does anything...

Thanks again.

I deleted the Fitbit app from my phone and reinstalled it. After that I've had no further problems and no notification issues.
