I keep getting could not load notifications at the bottom when I try to go see friend request and messages. I get notifications in email but cant see on app. I've tried signing out, clearing the cache, restarting my phone. Updating app nothing works

Let me explain that our team has received feedback from our members who are also receiving that error message when checking their in-app notifications, and they're currently working on this situation. I understand how helpful this feature is for you and while there isn't a time frame for the fix, let me suggest to use your fitbit.com dashboard so you can be able to check your friend requests and messages.

Thanks for joining this thread. Our team continues working hard on this matter so the notifications can be loaded in the Fitbit app. In the meantime, please try using your fitbit.com dashboard so you can receive your notifications and to not miss anything from your friends.

Good morning,
I have been experiencing the same as the OP but my notifications are also inaccessible on the actual Fitbit website. I can see that I have them when using the online dashboard but I cannot access them, it just looks like the page is either frozen or keeps "whirring".
