I would delete this but I don't see a way. Sorry for the bother. It really was just a Fitbit system thing that I got impatient with. It'd be nice if you put up alerts when that's happening.
Up until this morning everything was working great. Had the AltaHR for 2 years.
Get message: "Fitbit.com is unavailable. Please try again later."
I've waited and tried again.
I've rebooted.
I've updated.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled.
When I reinstalled I went into Account to see if I needed to set it up again. Which it appears I do. But when I click on setup device it says Network operation failed. Fitbit.com is down for maintenance. I don't think so. It's not down here! 😞
Currently using App that was updated July 9, 2019.
Moto X4 on Android 9 build ppws29.69-39-2-1
Phone has service both WIFI and LTE.
Is there any hope or is this planned obsolescence after two years?!
From what I see it sounds like there's no hope for this as there are tons of complaints on the app reviews. I'm leaving in 3 hours and will be offline for 7 days. I was hoping to have data that I'd collect at the other end. Given up on that. I'll check back here when I return for any possible fixes.
UPDATE - I found another thread on Android that implied many were having issues. Then someone said he could now get in so I tried again. It looked like it was going to work but now it tells me that my email address is already taken by another Fitbit account! NOT! Fishy. Still can't get in. Something is WRONG.
