Hi ive just started cycling and im struggling to record the distance on my fitbit HR...when i go to cycling and select start the timer begins but when i reach my destination it hasnt recorded any distance it still says 0.00 miles..can someone help please

Which Fitbit device do you have?  Is it one of the devices with built in GPS?  If not, do you take your phone with you when you ride?

Hi sorry about the delay in replying...it is the HR and yes i carry my phone with me whilst cycling

Hmmm, never heard of a "Fitbit HR"; are you talking about the Charge HR, the Inspire HR, the Alta HR, or something else?
