I've just installed the latest Fitbit (v3.18) app, but everytime I open the app, it crashes after a few seconds.
Since the Huawei P40 Pro doesn't have Google Apps anymore, I was wondering if the Fitbit app needs this?

Hi, there.
I think I have just found a temporary solution. I was having the same issues as yourself and downloaded Fitbit from the Amazon Playstore and it seems to be working fine.
Hope this helps.

I have Huawei P40 Pro and Fitbit charge 3.
I cant download app from Amazon appstore.
After lots of trial and errors, I've downloaded v2.81, and it works and doesn't crash. 10 other version I've tried don't work.
I've downloaded it from apmirror - variant 20213328
Hope this helps

This is the way I have the latest version working on my P40 Pro:
Installed the Fitbit app through Aurora Store.
Installed GMS through one of the latest YouTube videos available.
Fitbit app works now
Made a backup of the app in Settings.
Reset my phone, don't want GMS.
Reloaded the Fitbit app through backup
Fitbit still runs fine, sometimes a crash but most of the time it works, notifications work perfectly. Only when viewing a GPS tracker workout it won't show the map. Probably uses Google Maps API

This sounds a bit complicated to me...
2.81 work fine but it drains battery very fast (40% over the night).
I guess I'll wait for a official app from fitbit, or buy Huawei band...

I had the huawei watch 2 and it uses google software so it wouldn't sync to the P40 pro.
Just purchased myself the Fitbit Charge 4 and having issues again

Does your Fitbit watch works for NFC payment? I think that the leak of google services is a serioux problem for the payment, and the installation of google not gives the play protect certification, a certification so necessary în nfc payments!

You just have to install a version of Fitbit app that works. Mine is taken from "Apcapure.com" . Plecase note that The letters "ca" you have to replace with "k".
I allso have Huawei P40 Pro and I have this version 3.25 from the site I told you.

jut got Huawei P40 Pro yesterday, and found similar problem when installing Fitbit 3.18 (recommendation petalsearch from Aptoide)
Finally, i can install Fitbit App in P40 Pro. I works well. I use Fitbit 3.24 from other site (a**mirror)
I hope the smartphone-GPS can be accessed while outdoor-exercising...will try today.

Not totally true. The app store on the fitbit app downloaded from amazon AP store doesn't work.
I don't think there is a solution for a broken fitbit app on Huawei p40/Pro. I've been trying for the best part of a week and no solution I have found works.
Some apps downloaded from the petal store work, but notifications break every time the watch is put on charge, need to then delete and reinstall.
The notifications do not appear correct or the app store does not work on the amazon version.
I'm moving to Samsung. The lack of Google is really a deal breaker. Heartbreaking really.

Since I have been using the Huawei P40 lite, the GPS tracking on the app does not work anymore.

Hi.
I use P40lite as well. To get my tracker (Navigation Wear app) to work on Versa2 I installed "microG Services Framework Proxy" on my phone.
