Dashboard showing yesterday's information

I started using the app 3 days ago. The first day it worked fine. On day 2, it showed the total steps from day 1 and 2. Now on day 3, it shows all steps from days 1, 2, and 3. For example right now it shows 22,000 steps today, when I really did 8000 today. Sometimes if I press the arrow to view yesterday, then flip back to today, the correct steps shows for today are shown (8000). But then when it refreshes it goes back to 22,000. My steps for the daily challenge are correct and like I said sometimes it shows the right steps, so it is recording correctly just not displaying correctly. When I refresh it I can sometimes see today's correct number flash quickly before displaying the wrong big number.

 

I am just using my phone's tracker. I wanted to try the app before buying a device to see how it worked. Based on how buggy it is acting, I'm not sure I want to go through with the purchase.

I appreciate all the information and details that were shared in your post, sorry for the inconvenience experienced with your Fitbit app. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which Android mobile device you're currently using? Also, when was the first time you experienced this and how many times since then? In the meantime I receive your answers, please try the following:

 

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Uninstall the app from your mobile device.
  3. Make sure that the Android version is up to date.
  4. Reboot your mobile device.
  5. Reinstall the app.
  6. Login using your Fitbit credentials.
  7. Let me know if the issue persist.

It has been happening every day since I downloaded the app 5 days ago. I get a total number for steps from all 5 days in my "today" number. Pixel XL. Yes, location and auto timezone are on. Tried with it off too. 

 

I tried the steps you suggested. Did not work. Now it is going back and forth between displaying the correct number for today, and the steps from today since the reinstall. So same issue, it just reset the number.
