I already had a Fitbit charge 2 app on my phone and I was syncing it regularly with my Fitbit charge 2.
By mistake I deleted the app from my phone. Now trying to install it again from Google play store & it says "the device doesn't support this version." WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN ?
My phone is Moto E4 and the it has Android 7.1.1.

They've deprecated the old version of Android in the app due to upcoming sunsetting by Google

You can read more about it here:

Your OS is over 4 years old and likely posing unfixable security risks. Or your carrier has deemed it a waste of their time to keep updating the OS on the phone with their specially branded flavor of Android. If you own the phone you may be able to unlock it and update the OS further. This is not really Fitbit's fault. They have other flaws but this is an industry issue. You're going to start seeing a lot of apps unavailable for your Moto E4 I think.

It appears to be an issue with Google's Android operating system. To fix the “your device is not compatible with this version” error message, try clearing the Google Play Store cache, and then data. Next, restart the Google Play Store and try installing the app again. ... From here navigate to Apps, or App Manager.
