Device not connection during Run/Walk exercise

Csn anyone help I've got a Huawei p30 pro..my fitbit had been working fine until about 4 weeks ago.

When i connect to log a run or walk it initially connects then shortly after comes up with connecting...... At the top and stops tracking distance.. It will only connect again when i get out my phone and open the fitbit app. I've checked all settings are correct, such as run in background. I've tried everything I've found online and even done a factory reset and it's still happening

Hi @Courtjb91, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for your post, your effort and patience troubleshooting this situation prior to posting are appreciated. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which Fitbit device are you using with your Huawei P30 Pro? When was the first time you experienced this issue and how many times since then? Do you experience this issue with any activity or just with Run and Walk? In the meantime I receive your answers, please restart your Fitbit device and try the following steps:

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Uninstall the app from your mobile device.
  3. Make sure that the Android version is up to date.
  4. Reboot your mobile device.
  5. Reinstall the Fitbit app.
  6. Login using your account credentials.

Keep me posted and let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thanks for your reply and troubleshooting this situation with me @Courtjb91, sorry for the delay in responding.

To move forward with this situation, can you please let me know if you connect other Bluetooth device to your Huawei P30 Pro when you're tracking your exercise? Or if you connect a Bluetooth audio device to your Versa 2? Because your Versa 2 doesn't have a built-in GPS chip, it will connect to your phone to gather such information, but it seems that it's not connecting due to interference.

Looking forward to your reply.

Hi, I have the same problem while cycling. It started happening about a week or 2 ago. It just keeps saying "connecting" or when I do get it to connect it keeps dropping out. I have Samsung Galaxy S10, and a Fitbit Versa Lite. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Unpairing and then re-pairing my versa lite to my phone's Bluetooth but I'm still having issues.
