Hi. I have got fitbit charge 3 for six months. As my GPS signal I use Xiaomi redmi 4a. For one month I have a problem with wrong meassurement of my distance during running. The differences between my fitbit and Endomondo on my phone are near 100 m per 1 km. Earlier I had not got this kind of problem. I do not using Wifi and mobile data. My battery has not got any limitations.

Welcome to the Community Forums @Artur134, thanks for bringing this to my attention.
I appreciate the information that was shared in your post. Let me share with you that the Xiaomi Redmi 4A is not listed as a compatible device with our products and services, therefore, you may experience connection difficulties and even more when you use the connected-GPS feature of your Charge 3 because your Fitbit will use your mobile device GPS chip to route your activity.
Also, keep in mind that we do not suggest our users to compare the data that's tracked with your device and other tracking-services because they'll use different algorithms than ours to track information. However, If you feel that your step count and distance are inaccurate, confirm the following are correct in the Fitbit app:
- Your wrist settings (For more information, see Does the wrist I wear my device on affect accuracy?)
- Your height (For more information, see How do I manage my Fitbit profile?)
Since we use height to estimate your walking and running stride lengths, you may want to measure and manually adjust these values if your legs are longer or shorter than average. For more information, see How do I measure and adjust stride length for my Fitbit device?
Sometimes, when you start walking, your steps may not update on your device right away. After about 10-15 continuous steps, you'll notice the steps catch up and start updating in real time with each step you take.
Let me know if you have any additional questions.

I have a similar problem since the most recent software update on my Ionic. However it is purely a Fitbit issue.
I get two different distance readings in the up - for example - yesterday I ran 5.11km however in the app itself its says I can 5.01km
Three days ago - similarly - 6.08km v 5.99km
Whats the story?

@Artur134 , @BradMcCormick
Hi there.
Do you still have these distance inaccuracies with the newly released Android Version 3.8 of the Fitbit app ?

I haven't problems on the older versions. I use fitbit app 3.1 and there the differences are close to 200 m per 10 km. I didn't use version 3.8 so I do not know how it works.

As the example using version 3.7 I ran 7 km but my fitbit said me that I have run 8 km. It is too much 🙂

On this picture you can see the problem. Sometimes it looses control on my way and makes something like "teeth". I don't knows if the meassurement is better with using mobile data or not. Do you have the experience with similar situations?
