Distance goal incorrect

Hi

I have a Versa 2 and am using the latest version of the app on Android v10.

The distance goal does not get read correctly from the app. I have a goal set of 3 miles a day but any face I use picks up a goal much higher.

I have created my own face using Fitface to test and that shows my goal in meters as 7770 which is 4.8 miles.

I have tried various other faces via the app and every single one shows the same problems with distance. If I change the goal the distance goal also changes so syncing is not the issue. eg If I set my goal to be 5 miles the faces show a goal of 12950 meters which is 8.1 miles.

The steps goal is fine, this only happens with distance.

I have restarted the watch and the phone. I have cleared the cache on the Fitbit app on my phone but neither has made any difference.

Anybody got any ideas?

Thanks

Richard

I don't have an answer but do have some insight

It is confusing miles and km.  Each set of numbers you gave varies in the ratio of miles and kilometers.  I have seen a few other mentions of this over past few months.  In my personal tests, it seemed be to a function of where goal was set, phone app or fitbit.com dashboard.  When I set it one place, it translated it wrong on the other place.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Yes I saw that too. It seems to be converting twice. 3 miles in km comes to 4.8. If you take 4.8 as miles and convert you get the 7700 meters. Likewise if I use the 5 miles goal the numbers also match to that.

However I have no idea on how to get around this at all. As a temp measure, on the face I have created I have just divided the distance goal number by 1.6 and that gives me a correct number. However that is a botched workaround and would prefer it to be working properly.

All the goals have been set on the app on my phone.

I've been having the same issue as well. At first I thought it was just the face I was using but it does the same thing no matter what face I use. And it's only an issue with my distance goal. Steps, floors, calories, active minutes are all fine. I have a daily distance goal of 5 miles but it continues to translate to 8 miles on the watch itself.
