Distance not matching

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.
I have been on the phone for close to an hour trying to get to the bottom of why the distance is not always correct on my blaze. After much run around they did finally say it is a problem on their end that they are working on. So frustrating! Wonder how much longer it will take to resolve the problem???

It's nice to see you around more often @bmiller1969Smiley HappyI'd like to know if you're seeing a discrepancy only with your distance or with the steps too? If it is, please know our engineers are already aware of this but at the moment there's not an estimated date of when it will be resolved so your patience is really appreciated. You can read more on this thread.

My problem is when I go to exercise and do my 3 mile walk which have done for several years now, my fitbit might say one day I did the 3 miles and it matchs with my map my run app, and the next it might be way off not matching my phone. I also walk with others who have different watches and theirs are always correct.

I also had a problem this weekend while running a 10k. I used the Track my Exercise on my Blaze and somehow the GPS registered a 9.52 mile run instead of the known 6.2 miles that I actually did. I was getting mile alerts through my Blaze that made me think I was further along and MUCH faster than I actually was. I am very disappointed not to have accurate splits. The only thing that seemed to work right was the timer.

Hi everyone! Glad to have you here. Your tracker calculates the distance by multiplying your steps by your stride length so this measure may not correlate with a GPS recorded distance. Still you can improve it's accuracy by entering your own stride length. You can check instructions on how to calculate your stride length here.

Finally regarding the GPS measurement could it be that it was showing your distance in KM instead of miles? That would make the number way more close to the actual distance you did.

Keep me posted!

Hi @bmiller1969!Sorry to hear that your distance doesn't match the one that MMR shows. As mentioned earlier the distance on your tracker won't necessarily match a pre-measured or GPS measured distance. Still I would like to know how did you measured your stride length? Did you try the suggestions on my previous post? If you didn't have a premeasured area to calculate your stride length you can try playing with this number on you account to make it as closer as possible with the MMR measure.
