Does the app use data on android

I have a set data limit on my mobile. And since installing the android app and using my new fitbit charge in the past 4 weeks, for the first time in years I have reach my data limit. How can I stop this?

Welcome to the community!

The Fitbit App does indeed use data.  The way the Fitbit syncs is that the Fitbit App collects information from your Charge then sends it to the Fitbit servers, and what you actually see on your dashboard is a reflection on what's on the Fitbit servers.

I imagine that if you log out of the Fitbit App, it'll stop using data.  You can log in to check your data and to sync.  You may also try to prevent it from running in the background.

Ah I see. Sorry for what may be a silly question but if I log out of the app will I lose the content?

I think if you turn off all day sync in the app it will only sync when you open the app. That way you could open the app and sync when you are connected to wifi and not using your data.

@Tracestep the data that has been logged too the servers will be there next time you logg in or reconnect
