When I open the app, I get sales pitches.   I understand that for free products that are supported by advertising, but I paid for the fit- bit and would prefer to stop receiving ads. Any way to do this?

I'd also like to stop badge notifications.  I don't need to know I'm now a "jogger".  I'd like less noise on my app. Appreciate any tips.

Hi, @bitfit02118! Surprised you get so many ads, I rarely see them pop up on mine. As for the notifications, go into your account (id icon), scroll down to "privacy & security" and select "notifications." There you can turn off any notifications you would not like pushed by the app.

"Rarely" is too often.  "Never" is expected.

In-app advertising guarantees that I will never buy anything Fitbit again.

I can't remember the last time I saw an advertisement pop up on the app, and when I did it took less than a second to close it. It certainly did not distract from my use of the app.

I expect many Fitbit users appreciate getting notified when Fitbit is having a reduced-price sale.  I certainly do.  But obviously you are not among those.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

I got an ad when I went into the app to follow your advice.  Hopefully this reduced them. Thank you.
