Erasing previous account details

I had a fit bit ages ago but on re registration all the old info is still there 

How can I clear it ?

2 options:

1.  On phone app, from Today screen:

profile pic > SETTINGS: Account Settings > Delete Data

note: This option is relatively new.  I have never tried it and am not sure of the options after 'Delete Data'

 

2. Create a new Fitbit account with a different email.  All fitbit data is stored by Fitbit ID/email so with a different email you will have no history, plus old data will stay there if you ever want to go back and look at it.

Warning - make sure you keep track of the email addresses and passwords.  if you create and start using a new account, then accidentally log into the old account, it will look like all you recent data is gone.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
